She [‘Ayişe] worked at every genre of poetry and tested her talent on each of them. She has gazels and mu‘amma [enigmas], kasides [panegyrics] and mesnevis [rhyming couplets]. She has an affecting mesnevi entitled Hurşid u Cemşid [Hurşid and Cemşid] of more than three thousand couplets, treasured up within which are many excellencies and delicacies. This is confirmed by the citation of just a few couplets. At the beginning she describes her weaknesses and failings, begs pardon, and excuses herself:y
